911 Tapes of Professor Gates arrest released..
The now infamous arrest of Professor Gates is getting even murkier. The neighbor who called the police has said she never said anything about “two black men” when she called the police. As a matter of fact, she didnt even mention race until the dispatcher asked – and even then she guessed incorrectly – she said one might be Hispanic. I’m glad that she cleared her name and have the 911 tapes to back her up. But this goes back to my earlier post – the police reports claim that the 911 caller says that there’s two black men breaking into the house next door – we all know that there is a history of falsified police reports. So where did the “two black men” theory come from? In the video clip below, I am quite annoyed with Jeffery Toobin. My advice to him is: Unless you magically turn black overnight and are all of a sudden scrutinized and antagonized for things that were not a problem for you before as a white man, you have absolutely no authority to speak on what is and isn’t racial bias. Officer Crowley may not be racist, but there was a racial bias present. When you mix that with abuse of police power, nothing good can come out of the situation.
Poor lady, I did not know that people were harrasing her over this issue. Will the same people apologize for what they put this lady through?
